3.2 Validity of Quotations

Unless otherwise stated, all quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise.

3.3 Acceptance of Quotation

A quotation becomes a binding contract only when:

You confirm acceptance in writing (email or signed acceptance)
We receive your deposit payment (where required)
A mutually agreed installation date is confirmed

Important: We recommend that all customers obtain multiple quotations before making a decision. Our quotations are provided free of charge and without obligation.

4. Installation Services

4.1 Site Surveys

Prior to installation, we may conduct a site survey to assess:

Accurate measurements and specifications
Structural considerations and building regulations compliance
Access requirements and working conditions
Any potential issues that may affect installation

4.2 Installation Scheduling

We will agree an installation date with you in advance. While we make every effort to meet scheduled dates, we reserve the right to reschedule due to:

Adverse weather conditions affecting installation safety
Unforeseen technical issues discovered during works
Delays in material delivery from suppliers
Force majeure events beyond our reasonable control

We will provide as much notice as possible of any necessary rescheduling.

4.3 Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide clear access to the installation area
Remove valuable items and furniture from the work area
Ensure pets and children are kept away from the work area during installation
Notify us of any asbestos or hazardous materials present
Arrange for parking permits if required for our vehicles

5. Payments

5.1 Payment Terms

Our standard payment terms are as follows:

Deposit: 25% of the total contract value upon acceptance of quotation
Balance: Due upon satisfactory completion of installation

5.2 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

Bank transfer (BACS)
Debit cards
Credit cards (subject to processing fees)
Cash (up to £500 limit)

5.3 Late Payments

Payment is due within 7 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

6. Warranties and Guarantees

6.1 Installation Warranty

We provide a 10-year guarantee on all installation work, covering:

Workmanship defects
Installation-related issues
Seal failures in double glazing units (excluding accidental damage)

6.2 Product Warranties

Materials and products supplied are covered by manufacturers' warranties, which vary by product:

uPVC windows and doors: 10 years
Aluminium systems: 10-25 years (depending on manufacturer)
Glass units: 5-10 years
Hardware and ironmongery: 1-5 years

6.3 Warranty Exclusions

Our warranties do not cover:

Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or accidental damage
Damage caused by extreme weather events or acts of God
Normal wear and tear
Issues arising from unauthorised modifications or repairs
Condensation caused by inadequate ventilation (not seal failure)

7. Cancellation Policy

7.1 Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer (not acting in the course of business), you have the right to cancel the contract within 14 days of entering into it, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

7.2 Cancellation by Customer

For cancellations after the 14-day cooling-off period:

More than 7 days before scheduled installation: Full refund of deposit minus £100 administration fee
Less than 7 days before installation: 50% of total contract value payable
On the day of installation: 100% of total contract value payable

7.3 Cancellation by Us

In exceptional circumstances, we may need to cancel a contract. In such cases, we will provide a full refund of all monies paid and endeavour to provide reasonable notice.

8. Liability

8.1 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the total contract value. We shall not be liable for:

Indirect, consequential, or special damages
Loss of profits, business, or anticipated savings
Damage to property not directly related to the installation works
Issues arising from pre-existing structural defects

8.2 Insurance

We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance (£5,000,000) and employers' liability insurance. Certificates of insurance are available upon request.

9. Building Regulations and Compliance

All our installations comply with current UK Building Regulations where applicable, including:

Part L (Conservation of Fuel and Power) - energy efficiency requirements
Part K (Protection from Falling) - safety glazing requirements
Part F (Ventilation) - ventilation requirements
Part B (Fire Safety) - where applicable

We arrange Building Control notification and certification where required. Completion certificates will be provided to the customer upon final payment.
